About the Role
Our Client, a prestigious Luxury Brand, is seeking a Senior Area Manager to lead its operations across the DACH region (Germany, Switzerland, Austria). This senior leadership role carries responsibility for commercial performance, customer experience, and team leadership across three key markets.
With ambitious plans to double the number of stores in the region over the next two years, the successful candidate must demonstrate proven experience in store openings and expansion projects, alongside the ability to lead and develop multi-site managers.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead, inspire, and support Zone Managers and store leadership teams across the DACH region.
- Translate global strategy into actionable regional business plans focused on growth, customer engagement, and brand presence.
- Act as the link between the field and central functions (Marketing, Merchandising, HR, Operations, Technology).
- Drive and contribute to strategic transformation projects.
Commercial Performance
- Full accountability for the regional P&L and key KPIs including sales, profitability, conversion, ATV, and productivity.
- Assess local markets and competitor landscapes to identify growth opportunities.
- Deliver innovative campaigns, activations, and events tailored to local audiences.
- Lead store expansion and execute new store openings and relocations in line with brand strategy.
Customer Experience
- Guarantee luxury customer experiences in line with brand standards.
- Partner with Training and Visual Merchandising to ensure premium service across all stores.
- Implement engagement strategies to strengthen loyalty and customer lifetime value.
Team Management & Culture
- Manage and develop high-performing multi-site and store managers.
- Partner with HR on recruitment, training, retention, and succession planning.
- Promote a culture of excellence and inclusivity, aligned with brand values.
- Mentor Zone Managers and Store Directors to build future leaders.
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure operational compliance with brand policies and industry regulations, particularly in jewelry retail.
- Oversee stock, security, and loss prevention across all stores.
- Manage store openings, closures, renovations, and relocations.
- Collaborate with central teams to optimize operational performance.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Engage cross-functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, Training, and Customer Service.
- Champion adoption of new technologies and process improvements.
- Represent regional needs in global corporate initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Strong experience in regional or multi-site leadership within luxury, jewelry, or premium retail.
- Proven expertise in store openings and expansion projects, ideally in multiple countries.
- Track record of managing and developing multi-site and store managers.
- Strategic, analytical, and commercially driven, with strong P&L responsibility.
- Strong luxury mindset and understanding of high-value customer expectations.
- Change leadership experience in dynamic retail environments.
- Fluent in German and English (other European languages a plus).
- Willingness to travel extensively across the DACH region.
