Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Delicatessen Manager to oversee the daily operations of this ready-to-start Deli situated in one of the busiest areas in Central London.

My Client is looking for the site to be run as a concession – making it a fantastic business opportunity.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills. This role requires a keen understanding of food safety, food preparation, and culinary practices to ensure a high-quality experience for our patrons. The Delicatessen Manager will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere while supervising staff and maintaining operational efficiency.

Duties

  • Supervise and manage staff, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company standards.
  • Oversee the ordering, preparation and presentation of food, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and health standards.
  • Develop and implement training programmes for new staff on operations and customer service techniques.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Create and update food offering, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trends in the industry.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Manage the business, ensuring adequate returns for themselves and my Client.

Skills

  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and staff alike.
  • Proven P+L experience and financial acumen.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A passion for the hospitality industry, with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
