Are you a driven and experienced warehouse leader ready to take the next step in your logistics career? We’re looking for an inspirational Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our fast-paced distribution centre, ensuring seamless retail and eCommerce delivery operations.
The Role
As Warehouse Operations Manager, you’ll report to the Head of Logistics and lead a team of Team Managers, who in turn manage Team Leaders and Warehouse Operatives. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running and strategic performance of the warehouse—ensuring the smooth, cost-effective, and timely delivery of goods to both stores and customers.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and inspire the management team to consistently achieve and exceed site performance targets.

Act as a direct line manager to four operational Team Managers, ensuring engagement and development at all levels of the team.

Foster a high-performance culture rooted in continuous improvement and employee recognition.

Drive delivery of operational plans for staffing, cost efficiency, throughput, and service excellence.

Fully understand DC workflows and key operational levers to optimise performance.

Become proficient in our Warehouse Management System and ensure optimal utilisation of our automated systems.

Support the Head of Logistics in delivering against departmental budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Promote a culture of safety—ensuring all Health & Safety policies are followed and continuously improved.

Build and retain a high-performing team through proactive talent management, development, and succession planning.

Ensure operational consistency and be visible across shifts when required.
What We’re Looking For

A strong and inspiring leader with a track record of managing large warehouse teams in a logistics environment.

Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, confident in engaging at all levels.

Sharp problem-solver with solid analytical skills and a proactive, solutions-first mindset.

Highly organised with great attention to detail and an aptitude for process improvement.

Proficient in IT systems, especially spreadsheets and WMS platforms.

Capable planner—able to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Deep understanding of warehouse operations and HR processes.

Calm under pressure, confident in managing conflict, and able to maintain a positive team culture.

A hands-on, visible leader with flexibility to support across shifts when needed.
